POLICIES & ACCOUNTABILITY

 SALT IS A REGISTERED 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT MINISTRY with many needs and works-in-progress. Unless otherwise instructed by the donor, 100% of all funds received will be used to accomplish the ministry of Salt Mountain, Inc. and its stated purpose. Every donation received directly by Salt Mountain, Inc. is fully tax deductible as allowed by law.

YOU CAN PARTNER WITH US IN CONFIDENCE the security of your submitted personal information is of the greatest priority to us. Information received by Salt Mountain, Inc. is never sold, rented or shared with outside sources except to the extent as necessary to complete your request.

IF YOU DESIRE TO MAKE YOUR DONATION ONLINE by credit card or PayPal this can be done by way of our Donor Page or directly through PayPal to the email address of mygift@saltmountain.org. Salt uses two of the largest and most reliable global payment processors for all online donations, Paypal and Elavon. All international donations received will be converted to US dollars.

DONATIONS BY CHECK should be made payable to Salt Mountain, Inc. Please write “operating costs” on the memo line to indicate your desire to support the day-to-day activities and work of the ministry of Salt. Checks should be mailed to Salt Mountain, Inc. PO Box 81, Tendoy, ID 83468.

FOR WIRE DONATIONS, ESTATE PLANNING, STOCK TRANSFERS, GIFTS OF EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES OR MATERIALS, please contact us directly at contactus@saltmountain.org.

THE IRS WILL NOT ALLOW US TO “REFUND” ANY DONATION therefore Salt cannot return any funds received. However, should there be any discrepancy, error made in the donation process or should you need to update or correct any information you have submitted to us, just let us know right away and we will be glad to make any necessary corrections.

TAX-DEDUCTIBLE RECEIPTS for all online donations will be transmitted via email within one business day. Receipts for all other forms of giving will be provided through the mail within four weeks. If for some reason you do not receive your receipt, please let us know and a duplicate will be sent.

OUR PRIVACY POLICY mandates that any personal information you may choose to disclose through the use of this website such as your name, address, email address, telephone numbers and/or credit/debit card information is maintained within our strict guidelines and is used specifically for the purpose indicated. We also use this information to send you updates on how we are doing via campaigns such as newsletters, announcements, formal letters, project donation requests, etc.

IF YOUR PREFERENCE IS TO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION and simply enjoy your visit with us on our website, we are glad to have you. To help determine the effectiveness of our website, individual projects and pages, our servers log some basic data during your visit which is completely anonymous such as: pages viewed, date, time, geographic region and browser type. Please be confident that no association is made between a visitor’s identity and this information.

SALT MOUNTAIN, INC. HAS A STRICT POLICY IN REGARD TO THE USE OF ITS LOGO AND/OR BRAND FOR PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS, fundraising events, programs and commercial websites. Fundraising is needed and encouraged, but using this ministry to promote your business, church or organization is not. THE PROTECTION OF PRIVACY FOR EACH VISITOR to Salt Mountain, Inc. is important to everyone associated with Salt. We make it a priority to see that when you enter information on our website or submit information in any other way which is stored on our server and/or within our office, it is not publicly accessible and is maintained in accordance with existing laws, rules, regulations and other policies. Such information is only accessed on a “need-to-know” basis. To prevent unauthorized access and maintain both the correct use and accuracy of any received information we have appropriate electronic, managerial policies and safeguards in place. Sensitive data such as debit and credit card numbers are encrypted using SSL and other industry standard measures to ensure that the trust you place in us is never betrayed. However, if such information is of public record or not otherwise protected from disclosure it may be subject to examination and review. We may also disclose personal information in order to conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Salt Mountain, Inc. when required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary. Should any of our policies change, notification of such will be posted to this website at least 30 days prior to the change taking effect.

TO DEMONSTRATE GOD’S REQUIREMENT OF ACCOUNTABILITY and our proof of effective stewardship, we offer Salt Mountain, Inc.’s reports and filings for your review. The IRS Form 990-N, for all tax years, is available for review by making your request to contactus@saltmountain.org.
